Tenant FAQ


  • Trash & Recycling

    If you are responsible for trash through the City, call 607-272-1718 for your pickup day. Trash may be put out the night before collection day.  

    Recyclables must be kept inside the apartment and then placed out on the curb every other week on the day of trash collection.

    The City of Ithaca requires trash tags for waste removal.  The tags will be valid for large trash cans and/or bags weighing up to 35 pounds.  

    Tags are available for purchase at grocery stores and campus stores:

    a) Agway

    b) Cornell Campus Store 

    c) Wegman’s

    d) Tops

    e) Greenstar Co-Op

    f) P&C

    You may also choose to bring your trash to the Recycling and Solid Waste Center located at 122 Commercial Ave.

  • Placing Utilities In Your Name

    Please visit https://www.nyseg.com/ for more information on how to place utilities in your name. 

  • Online Balance

    You can check the online balance for you and your roommates apartment through your online portal. This is accessable through the payments tab and then by clicking "view full account ledger"

  • Stolen Packages & Deliveries

    PPM Homes is not responsible for stolen pacakges. Please contact the Ithaca Police Department. If you want to deliver an important package but are worried about its safety you contact our office and have it delivered to 116 W Buffalo Street, Suite 1A, Ithaca NY 14850

  • After Hours Maintenance Emergencies

    If you have an emergency please call us on 607 272 1765 ext  1.  If you suspect a natural gas leak, get up, get out and get away! Then call NYSEG immediately at 800.572. 1121 or 911 from a safe location.


    Please be aware some issues that are deemed non emergencies will be dealt with the next day.

  • Sublets

    Contact our office for sublet forms. Sublets are allowed on a case by case basis.
